GOMBAK: Twelve KCDI (Kulliyyah / Centres / Division / Institute) were acknowledged for their audit achievements. The Rector, Prof. Dato Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin presented certificates to the recipients in managing with zero noncompliance. Out of 41 KCDI that were audited in various areas of achievement, 12 were successfully achieved.
The certificate presentation at CAC took place on Friday 16 May, in conjunction with the third IIUM Monthly Assembly (Al Liqa Al Shahri) with the theme ˜Good Governance’.
For the kulliyyah category, the first achievement went to the Kulliyyah of Engineering, followed by the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. For the third and fourth achievement, the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehab Center and Department of Optometry and Visual Sciences of the Kulliyyah of Alliance Health Sciences, shared the honour.
Other KCDIs that managed to earn the achievements were the Center for Language and Pre-University Academic Development (CELPAD), IIUM Eye Clinic under the Kulliyyah of Medicine and the Management Services Division (MSD). Four Mahallah also achieved certificates, namely: Mahallah Ali, Mahallah Asiah, Mahallah Aminah and Mahallah Ruqayyah.
The Dean of the Kulliyyah of Engineering, Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Wira Ir. Dr. Md Noor bin Salleh, appreciated the award which he termed as a recognition effort made by all staff members of the kulliyyah in ensuring the integrity of the financial system in university.
Accepting on behalf of the Dean of Kuliyyah Alliance Health and Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nik Mazlan Mamat said that integrity was our responsibility especially as a Muslim. The staff members, dealing with patients and payment every day maintain a good management. With this procedure, it will help them to make sure their tasks are well done, he said.
