EVEN if it passed by too placidly in Malaysia two Sundays ago, World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) this time around should be remembered for many things, especially the biting cynicism all over, from the imprudent detention and intimidation of journalists, to the foolish tendency to shoot the messenger, to the gloomy reminder that the job doesnt pay much; at least, not to most.
