“Halimah Open Day” attracts good crowd

GOMBAK, 29 April 2015: Mahallah Halimah held its Open Day from 27 until 29 April recently. The programme that attracted a large number of students was organised with the cooperation of the Representative Committee (MRC) of the Mahallah.

The objective of the event was not only entertainment but also to serve as a platform for the students to voice out their thoughts regarding any issue of concerns in the university through a talk session, œAnda Tanya Kami Jawab, with the MRC and a guest from Students Representative Council (SRC), Wan Aida Liyana.

Other than the talk session, among the exciting activities organised were Zumba and Movie Night.

According to the event’s Programme Manager, EiraFazira Ismail, the Halimah Open Day hit the target and received positive feedback from the students as the sales was good and many people visited the booths. Among the things that were sold were food and beverages, books and ladies wear.

The preparation before and during the event went smoothly with the help of the fellow and the principal of Mahallah Halimah itself. When asked about future event of the Mahallah, the Programme Manager said there are plans for similar event for next semester along the same concept. ***
