GOMBAK, 30 April 2015: The top two from six contestants of the final stage IIUM Young Motivator Competition will represent IIUM for the National IPTA Motivator Competition that will be held at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) from 7 to 9 May 2015. The final stage of the IIUM level was held at the Experimental Hall last Monday.

The three judges have chosen Siti Nasuha Shaikh Feshal from the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) to be in the first place and Arif Muhaimin Abdul Latif from the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Law (AIKOL) as the second place winner for the competition.

The marks were calculated based on their stage performance, voice tone, contents and body language. Each contestant performed a motivational talk based on their chosen topic that they had decided earlier for six minutes and one spontaneous motivational talk where they picked the number that contained the topic on the stage for two and a half minutes.

œI will do lots of research about psychology and communication since I have to interact with the audiences and motivate them, said Siti Nasuha on her preparation to go for the national competition.

Arif Muhaimin said that he wanted to watch the recording of his final stage performance to find about his weak points that he needed to overcome.

œAll judges gave positive comments for me so I can do better for the next competition. We hope for the du’a and support from IIUM students so we can do well in the national competition, added Siti Nasuha confidently. ***
