Probiotic drinks can lead to cancer?

Lately, the issue of probiotic drinks which could activate cancer cells has become viral in Malaysia. According to one Facebook posting the cancer cells activated by probiotic drinks could lead to death.

However, this statement is not provided with sufficient evidence and scientific investigation to support the ˜theory.

Dr. Zubaidi wrote in his webside drzubaidi.com that the statement is not true. He stressed that the probiotic drinks could not affect healthy people as some people claimed.

However, people with low and weak antibody including those who have HIV/AIDS disease, diabetes and cancer are prohibited to consume the probiotic drinks. This is because it contains live bacteria that might infect and spread throughout the patient’s body.

Our digestive system normally has what we call “good” bacteria and “bad” bacteria. When the digestive tract is healthy, it filters out and eliminates things that can damage it, such as harmful bacteria, toxins, chemicals, and other waste products. Furthermore, it brings more things that our body needs such as nutrients and then absorbs and helps transmit them to the cells that need the ˜supplement.

The probiotics can give benefits to our immune system. Some believe this is important. Our immune system is our protection against germs.

It is good to spread the information to people, but we must first identify the truth behind it. Giving false and unidentified information and news might harm other parties.***
