GOMBAK, 1 May 2015: IS or Islamic States has become serious issues all over the world. The group began in 2004 as al Qaeda in Iraq, before rebranding as ISIS two years later. IS is known as a radical Islamic group that has taken over territory from eastern Syrian to northern and western Iraq.
It is led by Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Al-Huseini Al-Qurashi and he proclaimed himself as Caliph among his followers. Not much is known about him.This group was aiming to develop a caliphate country that is being ruled by single political and religious leader guided by Islamic law or Shariah.
IS has been practising brutal and cruel tactics for instance mass killing, beheaded, suicide bombing and crucifixion. According to the followers of this movement, they believe that whoever against their caliph are considered as unbelievers and they have the right to kill them as they believe that unbelievers blood are halal. IS think that they are the true believers in Islam.
British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that IS have $2billion consisting of cash and assets and this makes IS become world richest militants group. The fighters and soldiers also have the capability to use variety of weapons including small and heavy weapons, machine guns, rocket launchers, anti-aircraft guns and portable guns.
While the Palestinians in Gaza are still fighting with Israel to survive, IS just killing Muslims and journalists without contributing to help Palestinians at all. Is this so called œtrue Muslim for them?
The extreme violence that IS has been practising has damaged the image of Islam. For example, the word œJihadist has been misinterpreted as militant and terrorist. While as we all Muslims know that it is A sacred word in Islam.***
