It’s “Salahuddin Hour”

GOMBAK, 10 May 2015: It was an overwhelming feedback by all the Sala Warriors in Mahallah Salahuddin who supported the movement, Salahuddin Hour, in support of the Earth Hour.

It was a mahallah movement organised by the MRC Salahuddin Al Ayyubi in conjunction with the Biah Solehah Campaign where all the residents of Mahallah Salahuddin were encouraged to switch off their non-essential lights to support the Earth Hour in just 15 minutes, from 8.15 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. as a symbol of love towards the planet.

The Salahuddin Hour was inspired by the Earth Hour worldwide movement organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), which started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since then, many cities had engaged in the lights-off event for an hour, every last Saturday of March. Happy belated Earth Day that fall on April 22, 2015.
