TRANSFORMATION is the informing imperative of the country, irrespective of sector. The objective is to make Malaysia ready for its inclusion as a high-income, fully-developed nation. Towards this end, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak set in motion the National Transformation Programme (NTP), comprising the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) and the Government Transformation Programme (GTP), embracing all non-economic sectors. Because the nature of the programmes are primarily quantifiable, the promise was that there would be an annual progress report presented to the country. Last night, the prime minister launched the NTP Annual Report for 2014.
