While the students of IIUM are busy with their assignments and preparations for their mid-term examinations, IIUM administration division never stop improving the facilities in IIUM.
A few weeks ago, the innovation of the first floor of IIUM library was completed, and the second entrance of IIUM library was successfully opened. There was only one entrance for library, therefore, some problems were caused by the lake of the gate, such overcrowdedness during the rush hours, and dysfunction of the electronic gate.
Students get tired of waiting for the queue to enter the library at 2 p.m in a very hot weather. Secondly, as it is an Islamic university, the touch between males and female is not allowed, therefore, the construction of the new entrance is beneficial in terms of encouraging students to do things in line with Islamic teaching.
Moreover, the technical problem of the electronic gate also caused headache for the students. However, there is an alternative now for students where they have options to choose to enter the library from either the first gate or the second one.
Thus, the effort of IIUM to improve the university facilities has never stopped. Hopefully more improvement could be done in the future. ***
