IIUM Counseling Service Centre to help counsel students

GOMBAK, 27 April 2015: IIUM Counselling Service Centre (CSC) provides services to help students in self-development and motivation through their study phase. It offers mainly personal, career and educational counselling as an individual or on group basis. The department is not only targeting to counsel students with problems but also to formulate modules for students to help them in developing their personality.

There are a number of programmes carried out by the department and some programmes are still on-going. Among the on-going programmes is the IIUM Young Motivator Competition 2015 which focused on developing students’ confidence and enhancing credibility and talents. Students are welcome to participate and attend programmes held  by the CSC and the department. The slogan œTogether We Share, Together We Solve aims to give their best counselling therapy and training for students.

Students may come and visit IIUM Counselling Service Centre either at the campus at the Rectory Building (Level 2) or at the mahallah near you. The IIUM CSC branches are at Mahallah Zubair for brothers and Mahallah Asiah for sisters. Operating hours are from Monday to Friday and students may also make an online appointment through IIUM portal.

Appointments are flexible and students can choose a counsellor based on their preference and among the counsellors available are Nur Syuhada, Saiful Redza and Wan Mohd Ashmirullah.

The CSC is committed in fulfilling their vision to develop well balance students through professional counselling assistance and mission to make students all rounded individuals. Thus, students are welcome to come and share their problem as well as their experience.
