GOMBAK, 22 April 2015: The Nusantara Theatre Week (NTW) is back again. The event, organised by IIUM Theatre Club, will be held following a big success of the previous theatre show.

IIUM Theatre Club is one of the cultural clubs in IIUM under Centre for International Islamic Culture (CiTRA). Collaborating with Stikybox company as their creative partner for this show, it is a good opportunity for all theatre production clubs. NTW is an annual event conducted every year for the theatre production to come out with a creative performance to be shown.

Nusantara Theatre Week is a platform for students to develop their interest as well as soft skills including script writing, acting and directing skills as well as management skill. Thus, it will help students in many aspects, especially working under pressure and in teamwork so they may prepare themselves before entering the job life in future.

Six productions as follows will be performing for both days; Juragan Pentas (Laila Baiduri), Gagak Putih Production (Hikayat Dewata Lahanat), Castaways Production (Wayang Sari), Bulan Production (Senja), Notorious Playhouse (Aku Kahwin) and Amigos Production (Tiga). All theatre performances will be conducted in the Malay language.

NTW 2015 will be performing on Monday and Tuesday (27 “ 28 April 2015) at Main Auditorium IIUM from 8 “ 11 p.m. There will be three plays for each day from different production house.
