GOMBAK, 20 April 2015: œIIUM Cleanliness Awareness Project (ICAP15) will be held on 25 April at Mini Auditorium aimed at creating an awareness of cleanliness among the IIUM community. It is organised by students of Community Service Skill 2 from section 1 in collaboration with Daya Bersih.
In Islam, cleanliness is very important and it is also part of iman. Therefore, this programme will be conducted to create awareness among Muslims in IIUM campus.
This programme is open to all students and staff of IIUM. The uniqueness of this programme is that some of IIUM cleaners will join and participate in this programme for gotong-royong together with the students and bringing a slogan œA Day with Cleaners.
Besides that, this programme is intended to instil good ethics and disciplines among the students to appreciate IIUM cleaners who are hardworking in order to take care of the cleanliness of this campus, including their Mahallah. We should not be arrogant to the cleaners because they are also human beings who have feelings and rights. Therefore we must appreciate them and attend to them properly like others. It is hoped that the awareness of cleanliness among IIUM community will be constantly shaped and maintained.
