GOMBAK, 7 April 2015: The Educational Festival (EduFest) 2015 is now taking place starting from 6 until 12 April at the Kulliyyah of Education. This annual event is emphasising on the transformation of future teachers in developing skills and building an open mind among educational students with the society.
The organiser, the Bachelor of Education Student Association (BEDSA) Â provides 15 bazaars around the Kulliyyah of Education and four of them would see the involvement of societies under this Kulliyyah, which are Teaching Arabic Second Language (TASL), Teaching English Second Language (TESL), Islamic Education (ISED) and Guide and Counselling (GUIDE). The remainder nine bazaars will be opened to the vendors.
Various activities will be held within a week such as forum, talent night and writing workshop. The event’s assistant programme manager, Adila Aisyah, explained that it is in the nature of the Kulliyyah of Education for the teachers to sincerely share their knowledge, which is something close to their heart.
The highlight of the festival is the Kulliyyah’s Family Day on 12 April where around 100 students are expected to participate, aimed at strengthening relationship among them.
œEduFest 2015 brings a difference compared to last year’s activities, but we still preserve the educational tradition as in the past, said the event’s programme manager, Hashim Nawwaf.
œAs an educational student, we have to be prepared before entering the working world because as teachers we are supposed to be creative and innovative to attract the society’s interest, added Hashim.
œIt gives a good experience and an opportunity for first year students. They could develop their talents and skills and be competitive because a lot of stalls are there and there are also programmes such as forum that would be beneficial, said Ainin Atikah, a student taking Islamic education.
œStudents from other kulliyyah are welcome to EduFest 2015. Do come and support our activities, said Aisyah Adila.***
