GOMBAK, 21 March 2015: The Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia, IIUM (PSSCMIIUM) in collaboration with the Alumni and Career Services Division (ASCD) is organising ˜PSSCMIIUM Alumni Commemoration Dinner tonight to promote the PSSCMIIUM Alumni Chapter.
The main slogan for this year’s grand dinner is ˜A Gathering of Alumni and Students.
The dinner will be graced with the presence of the university’s Rector, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Binti Kamaruddin, who is also a member of PSSCM and the Deputy Rector (Internationalisation & Industry and Community Relations), Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Berghout.
The Deputy Rector is expected to launch the special silat class for international students to promote the Malaysian culture.
The main goal is to provide a platform for the alumni since 1992 from all IIUM campuses to gather under one roof to strengthen the ties between them, the community, and the university. The event is also held in support of the objectives, mission, and vision of IIUM.
Apart from that, there will also be a performance by the nasyid group called ERTI and a special appearance from PSSCMIIUM Alumni members to enliven the dinner.***
