GOMBAK, 19 March 2015: Hello there! Are you one of the graduating students who still have no idea how to write your resume’ or CV? Â Is your resume’ not convincing enough to be sent to the corporate world? Still looking for a place for your internship programme? Want to be placed in corporate world but not knowing how to dress properly to work? Â
Worry not! This is because the Alumni and Career Services in collaboration with Talent Corp. Malaysia, GTI-Media Asia, Jobhouse Sdn. Bhd. will be organising IIUM Career & Internship Fair from 7 to 8 April 2015.
Tha fair is an avenue where job seekers (IIUM students) can submit resume’ and search jobs which are suitable for them. On the other hand, the employers who are participating in the exhibition will put up jobs which are vacant at their companies. It is an employment strategy to fast-track the meeting of job seekers and employers.
This event will also allow and expose IIUM students to internship and postgraduate studies opportunities with participating companies as well as to bring to them to workshops, seminars, talks and other related programmes that will hone their skills and preparations for their upcoming industrial training.
In this event, students will be coached on how to prepare for an interview session. The preparation leading to the interviewing day and the actual interviewing episode will be dealt with. The common symptoms of anxiety prior and during an interview and how to overcome them will be discussed.
The chairperson of the Career and Internship Fair, Dr. Khatijah said: “I hope students will benefit from this event and the participants will get involved with all the activities that we provide. So please come and bring your CV.”
It is expected that more than 100 companies will be participating as exhibitors in the fair representing the different sectors.***
