GOMBAK, 12 March 2015: The Dakwah and the Tarbiyyah Bureau Mahallah Asma representative committee has launched the congregational prayer programme for all residents of Mahallah Asma at Multipurpose Hall Mahallah Asma.
The event was launched by the principal of Mahallah Asma, Dr. Ros Aniza Mohd Shariff and attended by the staff and fellows of Mahallah Asma. The ceremony began with the opening remarks and launching of weekly congregational prayer of Mahallah from the principle after Maghrib congregational prayer.
œThe main objective of this event is to encourage students to have congregational prayer as a daily routine. This congregational prayer can unite all the residents particularly, the staff, the principal and fellows. said the program manager of congregational prayer launching ceremony, Nur Basyirah Borhan.
She added: œI hope this congregational prayer will make IIUM students generally and Mahallah Asma especially, to be practised every day and can educate themselves to be the best as inheritors of the earth.
The launching ceremony was held as the same day as the start of the first of usrah at Mahallah for sem 2, 2014/2015. The usrah at Mahallah is one of the programmes under The Dakwah and Tarbiyyah Mahallah which is being conducted in each Mahallah at IIUM.***
