GOMBAK, 8 March 2015, AllNighter Production House in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Gombak and IIUM Theatre Club will host their second theatre production tonight at 8PM in Main Auditorium, IIUM Gombak.
The theatre production, “HERO: A Comic Book Experience”, focuses on creating a sense of heroism and bravery among students, teaching moral values of sacrifice and hard work to help others in need. “You can be a Hero just by doing the small things in life.” (one of the lines the characters says in the production)
“Hero won’t just exist for one night, it is more than just a play. We hope that it will exist not just through the comics or merchandise but as well as an inspiration to move others to be a hero in their own way. That is my dream for tonight”, says Idlan Zahari, Program Manager for the theatre production.
“Hero teaches all of us to take responsibility for all of our actions whether it is a simple or difficult task. All of our actions will have consequences so we must always be prepared.” says Megat Danial, one of the directors for Hero: A Comic Book Experience.
“Anything weird or silly done with conviction can become great.” second director, Umar Azizi says regarding tonight’s performance.
Tickets will be sold upon entry at a small fee of only RM7 for students and RM10 for non-students. Proceeds will also be donated to Perumahan Kebajikan Kasih Murni along with any donations collected on the night.
This theatre production will focus more on a technical aspect, which will include many special effects, video presentations, crowd interactions and movable props. The actors, actresses and choral speakers will amaze audience members with various catch phrases.
For those who may not be able to attend the theatre production tonight, there will be a repeat of the same production on Monday, 9 March at 8 pm in the Main Auditorium. Be sure not to miss this opportunity to not only enjoy theatre but help donate to those in need. There’s a Hero in all of us.
