GOMBAK, 26 February 2015: Nuqaba Training for all the Nuqaba from each Mahallah was held in Lecture Theatre A (Lt A) and Lecture Theatre B (Lt B), Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Law (Aikol) in order to give a general overview of selected topics before Usrah started.
Usrah at Mahallah is one programme under the Dawah and Tarbiah of Mahallah and Nuqaba, (the plural form of leader in Arabic) was chosen from each Mahallah to conduct the Usrah among the students. For this semester, there are two modules to be introduced which are, module one for students who are did not participate in Usrah last semester and module two for those who have already joined the Usrah.
For module one, the briefing was held in Lt A, Aikol and conducted by Haji Wan Nasharuddin. There are six topics to b used: We as servant of Allah; Knowing our Prophets; Al-Quran as solution in life; Respect and appreciate parents; Neighbours and societies; and Appreciating the environment.
As for module two, the briefing was done by Dr. Sabri, a fellow from the Mahallah Bilal at Lt B, Aikol. The six chosen topics for module two are: Honesty, Syukur, Love and affection (Mahabbah), Reliance in Allah (Tawakkal), Patience (Sabr) and Submission wholeheartedly to Allah (Ridha). Each topic will be attached with the several Quranic verses and one selected Hadith from 40 Hadith that is related to the topic.
œThe objective of our programme is to ensure our friends get used with the Al-Quran and also with the Hadith of Prophet (peace be upon him). Many of our friends were not really familiar with the 40 Hadith, said Dr. Tajul Aris, Principal of Mahallah Salahuddin. He added this programme is a small contribution in order to bring about improvement to ourselves. Dr. Tajul Aris expressed his hope that the Usrah will get the blessings of Allah as well as successfully achieving the objectives.
Usrah at Mahallah started last semester and will continue this semester after the IIUM Sport Carnival ends on 12 March and will be conducted after the Maghrib prayer.***
