Sepang constable nabbed for robbery

SHAH ALAM: A 30-year-old police constable attached to Sepang station was arrested on Tuesday for breaking into a house at Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat, Selangor.The police constable had gone to a house at 3.30am on Tuesday and identified himself as a police officer with two others before breaking open the front grill door of the house.  The victim was beaten up with a long machete before the suspects continued to ransack the house and escaped with RM500 in cash, six handphones, five watches and two laptops.  According to a source, police arrested the police constable the same day and found equipment used for house break-ins in his car.  "The suspect admitted to being involved in the break-in at Tanjung Sepat.  "His urine tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine," the source said, adding that the suspect had confessed that the car belonged to his accomplice, who lived in Taman Indah, Sepang.  Further investigation led to the arrest of four more individuals in Sepang.  Police seized a Kia Carnival MPV, four handphones, an iPad, a wallet, a set of keys, two watches, screw driver, a folding knife and a silver necklace from the suspects.  Selangor police chief Datuk Abdul Samah Mat confirmed the arrest.
