Have you ever come across Dialogue in the dark? Â DID or Dialogue in the dark is an exhibition that gives people the opportunity to experience for themselves extraordinary and powerful situation which mentally challenges them to be blind for almost one hour.
In DID exhibition, visitors will be guided in the totally dark room and specially constructed for the visitors to experience what the blind feel for their daily routine. This includes the experience to cross the road as a blind person, how to select food in the market, how to have a meal in a totally dark world and many more. The entire visitor will be guided by the experienced and expert guide for a one-hour journey.
This exhibition brings the good values, skills and foremost of all, the gratitude and the sense that we own today. This exhibition is aimed at changing the mindset of the public regarding the disability and diversity of the people in society and increase their tolerance towards other people.
The founder of the Dialogue in the dark was Andreas Heinecke and this DID has been established since 1988 in more than 31 countries and over 127 cities throughout Europe, Asia and America. More than 7 million visitors have experienced this invaluable experience, and this is the first DID in Malaysia that has been established. Proceeds from the exhibition will be channeled to Dog for Sight project, SOSM Preventing Blindness project and Academy project.
This DID Malaysia is located at Jaya one, Petaling Jaya and operates from 10 a.m until 6 p.m on weekends and weekdays except Monday.***
