KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is assisting Indonesia in the search and rescue (SAR) operation for the missing Indonesia AirAsia Flight QZ8501 covering an area of 11,400 sq nautical miles in the east of Belitung island, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said.
