Why not go for indoor rock climbing?

Any one interested in rock climbing? Putrajaya has an Indoor Rock Climbing Complex located at Putrajaya Challenge Park in Precinct 5. Its facilities are well managed by Putrajaya Municipality and it can cater for a wide range of visitors for all ages and levels of ability.

The indoor rock climbing complex is 2,100 square feet in size and the walls are designed with a number of trapezoidal climbing walls reaching up to 20 meters high which is also equivalent to five-storey building. There are six zones and each zone is suitable for different level of skills.

Zone A is for expert bouldering wall, Zone B is for the beginners, Zone C is for the experts, Zone D is for top roping wall climbing, Zone E is for speed climbing and Zone F for intermediate. Other than that, a special place for kids below 10 years old is also available for children to enjoy wall climbing, where the floor has been laid with thick sponge. So the kids will not get hurt if they fall down.

The fee is reasonable; entrance fee is RM6 (adults) and RM 3 (students). Equipment rental charges for a session (3 hours) are as follows:

. Chalk Bag RM 3

. Belay Device RM 4

For those who are coming in a group, it is recommended to share the equipment for budget cutting. The instructors are available for beginners, so don’t be shy and just climb with all your strength. The instructors will help and motivate to finish up your climb.

The Indoor Climbing Complex is open daily from 10 a.m to 8 p.m from Sunday to Thursday while on Friday to Saturday, they extend the closing hour for 2 hours which is at 10 p.m.

So, go and visit the place, it is a very good place to start training your muscles and to break some sweats. The facilities provided are good, the instructors are supportive, plus it is easy to locate. It is just beside the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). You can always use GPS if you are not quite sure with your road instinct, so there is no reason not to visit the place!

Not to mention that the place is not crowded on weekends morning, so head up there early so you won’t have to be in line to enjoy the fun.
