GOMBAK: Mizz Nina, an icon among young people and a popular figure, who œhas it all, the fame, the fortune, the glamour” and became an international celebrity, collaborated with many artists from the United States, Korea and many more, but now she is a down to earth, humble Muslimah.
Today, Mizz Nina shared with us something about her hijrah and about what she is working on.
Why did suddenly you changed your mind to embrace Islam more?
About a year before I decided to go for Hajj in 2013 with my mom and husband, I used to daydream about wearing the hijab, what that actually means and how it would change my life. I then started taking Islamic classes, to read and understand the Quran and the deen, mentally and spiritually preparing myself for Hajj.
We heard that you are now managing a boutique?
Yes, the boutiques name is Madeena and its a clothing line that offers an array of trendy yet stylish apparels that are also designed to match with the current Muslimah trend.
How involved are you in your boutique?
Well, this is my own boutique, so I am involved deeply from searching the materials to designing them. I personally pick the materials, colour, the tone, the length, and the flairs. and everything.
