GOMBAK, 5 December 2014- IIUM Staff Appreciation Dinner was recently to honour both academic and administrative staffs for their dedication and loyalty to the university. Held at the Main Hall, Cultural Activity Centre, the event was officiated by IIUM president, Tan Sri Dr. Rais Yatim.
This event was held to appreciate 143 staffs who had served the university for at least fifteen (15) years. They were given awards based on the following categories: 15 years Loyal Service Award that was awarded to 91 staff members, 25 years Long Service Award rewarded for 24 members, and also 28 former staff were awarded with Retiree Award.
Meanwhile, the IIUM Significant Contribution Award was given to Dato’ Seri Mohd Noor Bin Yaaqob on his contribution for being the Superintendance Officer for the physical development in IIUM campuses, which led to the completion of the buildings in different IIUM campuses.
The President of IIUM congratulated the staffs for their remarkable contributions to the university. He said the university is aiming to achieve higher goal in its future plans and programmes, therefore he hoped the staffs would continue to play their roles.
