Researchers from KoE bring home awards from MTE 2014

A team of researchers from the Kulliyah of Engineering who participated in the Malaysia Technology Expo 2014 (MTE 2014) brought home several awards.

The MTE 2014, the leading international invention and innovation expo, was held from the 20th February to 22nd February 2014 at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Twelve products from IIUM were submitted and exhibited for the competition. Out of these submissions, ten were selected as winners; with two Gold, three Silver, and five Bronze awards.

In addition, the IIUM booth was awarded the title œMost Innovative Booth, and won third prize for œBooth Design Competition for Bare Space.

Among the researchers who won the gold Invention and Innovation Award is Associate Professor Dr. Anis Nurashikin Nordin.

Her submission was her invention named the Bio impedance Spectroscopy System for Characterization of Cancer Cells.

Another winning submission was the Image Processing Based Automatic Adjusted Interior Rear “ View Mirror of a Vehicle invented by Associate Professor Dr. Salmiah binti Ahmad.

She was awarded with the silver Invention and Innovation Award.
