Graduation ceremony for 104 students of Gombak Educare

GOMBAK, 15 November 2014: A graduation ceremony was successfully conducted in IIUM main campus today to honour children who have completed their study in IIUM Gombak Educare. The ceremony involved a total of 104 students from Petaling Jaya, Taman Bullion Mewah, and Taman Bidara. The IIUM Educare has a total of 145 students and 11 teachers in all.

The ceremony was officiated by Deputy Rector (Student Affairs), Prof. Datuk Dr. Mizan Hitam. In his speech, he thanked the trainers and the parties involved, especially the teachers, who had given their commitment in teaching and educating all students. He hoped that the children will grow up to become good individuals responsible to their parents, country and religion.

Chairman and Board of Director of IIUM Educare Holdings, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ainol Madziah Zubairi, who was also present at the opening ceremony, delivered  welcoming speech.

She said: “It’s been 18 years that we worked so hard just to make sure the quality of education received by our students is of high quality which covered all aspects in both the academic and in curriculum activities. This can be achieved by providing our entire students with world class education.”

The event was graced by various cultural performances of all IIUM Educare school students. The Nasyid been performed by the children of 5 years old from Educare Gombak. They sang along surah Al-Fatihah in the form of Nasyid by adding creativity in their performance.

The Dikir Barat was also performed by children from Educare Gombak.

There was also a dance performance called dance fans. “Like many other forms of dance, the choreography that came along with fan dancing requires physical fitness and the ability to memorise routines,” said Zaim Ahmad Ismail who was the master of ceremony.

The climax of the programme was a Certificate Giving Ceremony which was presented by Prof. Datuk Mizan. ***
