Student convention discusses Dr. M’s ideas and thoughts

GOMBAK, 22 October 2014: The ideas and thoughts of Malaysia’s former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, relating to the country’s policies on foreign affairs, economic and education became the subject of attention at the National Student Convention on Pemikiran Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad  held at the Kulliyyah of Information, Communiction and Technology recently in conjunction with Convocation Festival 2014 (CONVEST’14).

The Convention was participated by students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), International University Malaysia-Wales (IUMW), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), University of Malaya (UM), as well as the host, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

This programme was officiated by Political Secretary to the Minister of Education, Datuk Dr. Marzuki Mohamad.

The objective of this Convention was to get a clear understanding of three main policies of Malaysia. The convention also discussed the Malaysian Education Development Plan (Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia).

At the end of this convention, participants came out with resolutions to be submitted to the Education Ministry, according to the organiser.
