LONDON: Job vacancies, here, the capitals financial district, rose seven per cent last month amid increasing demand from Europeans looking for work. The number of vacancies climbed to 7,905 from 7,371 a year ago, with a 25 per cent gain in people looking for a new role, recruitment firm Morgan McKinley, here, said in a statement yesterday. Those securing new jobs received an average salary increase of 19 per cent, after a 17 per cent gain in August. The United Kingdom economy grew at a stronger pace than initially estimated in the second quarter, with unemployment dropping to the lowest in six years in the three months through July. Bloomberg
