KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has emerged as the subtantial shareholder of Eastern and Oriental Bhd (E&O) after buying two million shares of the company last Friday. Based on the filing at Bursa Malaysia, EPF now has a 5.21 per cent stake, or 57.91 million shares, in the property development firm. In a separate filing, E&O said CIMB Commerce Trustee Bhd has ceased to be its substantial shareholder, after disposing of 3.44 million shares, also on last Friday.
