KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has achieved another success in its small field development with the commencement of oil production from Banang field on July 15, three months ahead of schedule. In a statement yesterday, Petronas said Banang, located offshore Peninsular Malaysia, is the second field from the Kapal, Banang and Meranti cluster to have attained first oil production after the first achievement from Kapal field that came on stream in December last year.
