“We’re here to observe the environment of English lessons and types of accommodation available in IIUM,” Ms. Minematsu said.

The delegation held talks with Hasleena Mohamad Arsad, the director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office (ICEO) and Zaleha Esa, the director of Institute for Language Advancement (IfLA).

Miss Minematsu explained further: “We’re thinking of doing student exchange programme where we send our students to IIUM to learn English. We want our students to learn more from an international university while exposing themselves to Malaysian cultures.”

Apart from attending the discussion, the delegates also visited IIUM.FM radio station, CELPAD Independent Language Learning Centre (CILLC), the Library, and Mahallah Ruqayyah. They also had an observation session of the English class at IfLA.
