KUALA LUMPUR: The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) has appointed Datuk Yasmin Mahmood as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective September 15. This confirmed Business Times report last week that Yasmin, who is YTL Communications Bhd and YTL e-Solutions Bhd executive director, will succeed Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, who has been appointed to lead Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd. In a statement, MDeC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali described Yasmin as a leader with strong credentials and extensive experience.
