GOMBAK, 7 May 2026: Bachelor of Business Administration Association (BBAA) IIUM under the Economics and Management Sciences Society (EMSS) conducted Entrepreneurship Week (EntrepWeek) from 4th May 2026 until 8th May 2026 at Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS).
EntrepWeek is a programme that gives the opportunity for the IIUM students to open their own booth and sell their goods such as food, beverages, flowers and keychains. With the theme ‘Where Inspiration Meets Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit’, this programme provided real world exposure for the students to the actual challenges of the economics and business world.

Other than that, the KENMS Business Compound featured numerous external vendors including RotiBoy, Akaf Coffee, Vico and various local and international foods. The combination between the students and external vendors succeeded in inculcating a lively festival atmosphere.
The Programme Manager of EntrepWeek, Sumayyah Binti Anhar says, “My biggest advice to students is to focus heavily on the customer experience. People often buy from people they like, so bringing great energy, being friendly, and engaging with everyone who walks by is huge,” she said.
She added that the students can also offer creative bundle deals, use unique packaging and decorate their booth aesthetically.
This whole week of programme was also full with subprogrammes such as Stamping and Fun Games, a Movie Night: Spirited Away, a ‘Get Ready With Me’ Workshop, an EPF Talk and Resume and LikedIn Checking session. These subprogrammes provided an integration between entrepreneurial, corporates and digital strategies experiences for the students.
Hence, this programme aims to improve the soft skills of the students, especially in marketing, sales, customer service, and teamwork, while also refining essential communication and problem-solving abilities.***
