Creating Impacts through Every Bite, with ARISMA

Have you ever wanted your everyday choices, something as simple as buying food to carry a deeper meaning? In times where consumption feels disconnected from impact. At the upcoming Gombak Food Festival (GFF 4.0), consumption will offer you something more intentional and simultaneously bring you a variety of food that will tingle your tastebuds from sweet, sour to spicy tastes. ARISMA in collaboration with the Communication students’ integrated marketing communication (IMC) agency, Blooms Bite, will offer a way for you to support the students from Akademi Remaja Islam Autisme (ARISMA) without directly reaching out to them but instead by highlighting the students with autism through their centre’s products. ARISMA is an institution that not only takes care of these students but together helps them grow by providing life skills for teenagers and adults with autism from 18 years old and above.

In the heart of GFF 4.0, the Blooms Bite booth will stand out not only as a stop for food but also as a booth that will encourage you to love and care for youths with autism. There will be crunchy snacks like rempeyek, banana chips, onion chips, paru goreng and kacang medan, a sweet appetizer of homemade cooking and soft buns that provide you with a selection of traditional and comforting food that you can choose from. Nearby, refreshing pineapple juice completes the experience adding a hint of coolness after the time that was spent hunting for food in the festival. Alongside these, the handmade bracelets made by youths of ARISMA will also be displayed to indicate the creativity, patience and growth that are made by these students.

Beyond the variety of foods, ARISMA is more than an academy, it is a community that sees and hears these students with autism by showing their capabilities despite their differences. It highlights their growth as individuals and their hardworking spirit as a community that has faced hardships. Each purchase is embedded with the spirit of their diligence, which may seem like a small act of buying that gradually becomes their support and helps them grow while recognising the effort behind every product.

While most other snack brands only care about making money, ARISMA and Bloom Bites choose to focus on doing something genuinely good for society. What makes this brand different from others that you see in stores is that your money will go directly to youths with autism that will help them learn how to live a successful life. If you are looking for a smarter and more meaningful choice than just a random snack from the street, then this collaboration is for sure the best way to go. This makes people like the brand so much more. By choosing to buy from this brand instead of others, you are making a super cool choice to help people out. You are not just eating because you need to fill your stomach, but you are doing something kind with your money.

The best part about this collaboration is that you can trust where your money is going because they live by their official tagline which is, “Small bites, big impacts.” This is not just a catchy phrase that they made up but it is a real promise that even a small purchase makes a huge difference in someone’s life. They even describes themselves as a “socially driven agency that focuses on creating awareness and meaningful impact,” which shows they have a plan to help the community. Now we can see it’s not about food anymore but it’s about the fact that they are transparent and honest about their goals.

In the end, making the snacks by ARISMA a part of your purchases is just a great way to invest in your happiness while helping others at the same time. You don’t need to wait for a huge event or a special holiday to treat yourself to some delicious snacks or a cool new bracelet. You don’t want to miss out because you can find ARISMA at the Gombak Food Festival 4.0, they will be right there at HS Square IIUM, on the 5th and 6th of May. Make sure to clear your schedule and come say, ‘hi.’ It is so important to remember, “every purchase supports their growth and helps them shine better,” as mentioned on their Instagram post. Let’s turn this food festival into a massive win for the students with autism and the community.***
