The ceremony was held at the Office of the Rector, Level 4, Muhammad Abdul-Rauf (MAR) Building, IIUM, marking a significant milestone as it was the first MoU Signing Ceremony for AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS).

The MoU was signed on behalf of IIUM by the Rector of IIUM, Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Osman Bakar, and was witnessed by the Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Prof. Dr. Hafiz Zakariyya. This MoU signifies the beginning of a meaningful and strategic collaboration focusing on several key areas. These include joint research and development initiatives, joint educational programmes, and internship opportunities for IIUM students, particularly in areas relevant to Islamic studies, halal management, and industry engagement. In addition, both parties have agreed to collaborate on the organisation of joint seminars, workshops, and training programmes, aimed at enhancing knowledge exchange, professional development, and practical exposure for students and academics alike.

Furthermore, the collaboration also explores the potential establishment of retail outlets or distribution points for Olive House products within IIUM, specifically through IRKHS Store, alongside other mutually agreed areas of cooperation. This initiative not only provides practical industry exposure for students but also supports entrepreneurial activities within the university ecosystem, in line with IIUM’s aspiration towards holistic academic development

Overall, this strategic partnership is expected to create impactful outcomes by bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, fostering innovation, and enhancing graduate employability. It is hoped that the collaboration between IIUM and Aafiyat Holdings Sdn.
