IIUM Theatre Club Launches Fourth Re-enactment of Laila Majnun

GOMBAK, 29 December 2025: The IIUM Theatre Club (ITC) officially launched the fourth re-enactment of its performance, Laila Majnun, at the IIUM Main Auditorium on 22 December 2025.

The event attracted a large and enthusiastic audience from the IIUM students who filled the auditorium to witness the highly anticipated performance.

The ceremony began on a solemn note with a recitation of du’a and the Qur’an, specifically Surah Al-A’la, setting a respectful and reflective tone for the evening. The audience was visibly engaged as the lights dimmed and the performance commenced, highlighting the signature combination of musical and theatrical artistry.

Promoted under the official hashtag #TheatreMusicalLailaMajnun, the production drew attention from across the IIUM community and beyond.

The audience remained fully engaged throughout the performance as it moved with the art of combining theatre and musical in one show for Laila Majnun’s performance, and the audience responds to the cast’s emotions throughout the performance and becomes absorbed and focused throughout the performance.

Collaboration with IIUMTV, IIUMFM, and IIUMToday added an extra layer of professionalism, with each partner credited at the conclusion of the show.

The event concluded with thanks for the dedication and hard work of the cast, crew, and organisers.
