GOMBAK, 12 December 2025: Nur Auni Khadijah binti Mohamad from Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS) delivered her valedictorian speech on behalf of the students from the third session of the 41st IIUM Convocation Ceremony at the Main Hall of IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) on 7 December 2025.
As the recipient of the Best Student Award (Academic) in her kuliyyah, Nur Auni Khadijah praised her fellow graduands being able to overcome their own struggles while studying at IIUM.
In her speech, she said that, “IIUM taught us that ’ummatic excellence’ is not only academic brilliance, but it is intellectual courage to venture into the unknown.”
She also encouraged her fellow graduands to take advantage of their privileges by serving others.
She highlighted verses five until six in Surah Ash-Sharh from the Quran in her speech, emphasising that with every difficulty one faced, relief will soon follow after from Allah SWT.
Nur Auni Khadijah also thanked her mother for being her first teacher to teach her to write and read. She is grateful that her mother is her source of strength and continuous prayers and support led her to her success today. Plus, she emotionally said that she hoped her late father would be proud of her if he can see her today on stage. She credited her siblings as her unsung heroes who supported her throughout her journey.
She is also grateful to her lecturers, who illuminated the path with their wisdom.
She congratulated everyone at the end of her speech and wished their journey ahead is filled with barakah and purpose.***
