Seeing IIUM Through the Eyes of Mohammad Nabil, a Palestinian Graduate

GOMBAK, 10 December 2025: A Palestinian student from the Kuliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT), Mohammad Nabil Ahmed Abouhamida shared a journey shaped by determination, resilience and deep appreciation for the community he found in Malaysia.

He was conferred his degree in Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) in the eighth session of the 41st IIUM Convocation Ceremony at the Main Hall of IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC), IIUM Gombak.

With a background in computer science, Mohammad Nabil has built experience in technical support, marketing, and various academic projects. His decision to study at IIUM was driven by more than academic goals. He wanted an environment that nurtures both intellectual development and strong Islamic values, and IIUM offered exactly that.

Living away from family and adapting to a new country brought its own challenges, but Mohammad Nabil views them as important steps in his personal growth. From managing daily life independently to adjusting to a new culture, every experience strengthened his discipline and confidence.

He also offered a sincere message to the world, highlighting that Palestinian cherish peace, education, and a bright future for the next generation.

They value those who uphold fairness and humanity. He also encourages everyone to foster understanding, support human values, and believe in a better future for everyone.

For Mohammad Nabil, Malaysia is more than a place of study. It is a home filled with kindness.

“Malaysia is truly a beautiful country,” he said. Then, he continued, “Not only in its nature but in the heart of its people.”

From his first day, he felt welcomed and supported, and the warmth of people left a lasting impact.

As he continued his journey, Mohammad Nabil carried with him the lessons and memories built in this land he now holds close to his heart.***
