GOMBAK, 9 December 2025: Nur Nabila binti Adnan Ahmad Ibrahim from the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws (AIKOL) delivered a heartfelt valedictory speech at the fourth session of 41st Convocation Ceremony at the Main Hall of IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC), IIUM Gombak campus.

Nur Nabila reflected on the journey they shared as students, describing how life at IIUM was more than academic achievement.

“Somewhere between the morning lectures, the cafeteria lunches and those long nights before the deadlines, we realised something deeper, that IIUM has given us more than just a degree,” she recalled.

She explained that IIUM shaped their character and way of thinking by combining faith with knowledge and embracing diversity.

“It gave us a worldview, a worldview where faith and reason work hand in hand, where diversity is not a challenge but a blessing,” she remarked.

Her speech turned emotional when she spoke about her late father, sharing how personal loss shaped her strength throughout her studies.

“Your little princess has finally made it… and she truly hopes that you are proud of her,” she said.

She further expressed her belief that the best people are those who bring the most benefit to others, and took the opportunity to express deep appreciation to those who supported the graduates throughout their journey, including family members, parents and friends.

Many in the hall were  moved by her words by highlighted the  struggles faced by students including balancing academic pressure, personal loss and growth.

She ended her speech by encouraging fellow graduates to carry the values learned in IIUM into their future, as they step into their future career and personal journey.***
