GOMBAK, 6 December 2025: The Constitutional Head of IIUM, Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah officiated the launching of the official IIUM Batik.
The launching ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall, IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC) after the adjournment of the 41st IIUM Convocation Ceremony.
The pattern of the official IIUM Batik was designed by Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang herself. IIUM has selected the exclusive batik design to be worn at official university occasions.
Currently, the IIUM Batik will only be exclusive for the staff of IIUM.
The covering Director of Office of Communication, Advocacy and Promotion for Change (OCAP) of IIUM, Madam Azura binti Abdul Razak stated that the University Management Committee, deans, directors and official ushers of IIUM have received the IIUM Batik at the moment.
“The plan is for all the staff of each kulliyyah to receive it (IIUM Batik) as well. Each kulliyyah will have different patterns but all of the patterns will be designed by Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Pahang”, said Madam Azura.***
