GOMBAK, 21 November 2025: A Candidate Dialogue Session for the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Students’ Society (IRKHSS) election for the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and President was held on 17 November 2025.
The session, which took place at ADM LT 1, IIUM, started at 8:00pm.
The programme commenced with the speech of Deputy Dean of Student Development & Community Engagement of AHAS KIRKHS, Associate Professor Dr. Tengku Siti Aisha Tengku Azman who stressed the importance of celebrating the spirit of campus democracy—not only by listening to candidates’ manifestos and plans, but by ensuring that students’ voices, concerns, and hopes are genuinely acknowledged.
The session featured four candidates: two contesting for the Secretary position, one for Treasurer, and one for the Presidential seat of IRKHSSS.
Ruqayyah binti Nur Muhammad, a third year student from the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh , and Siti Azwani binti Ahmad Naeem, a second year student from the Department of History, for the Secretary position.
Ahmad Ubaidah Mohd Anuar, a second year from the Department of Quran and Sunnah Studies stood as the candidate for IRKHSSS President. Meanwhile Muhammad Fawwaz, a second year student from Department of Fiqh and Usul al Fiqh, stood as the candidate for IRKHSS treasurer position.
The first session, featuring Ruqayyah binti Nur Muhammad and Siti Azwani binti Ahmad Naeem, was moderated by Sharifah Dayana. Both candidates shared their manifestos and their visions for the betterment of IRKHSS.

Siti Azwani’s manifestos are as follows:
- Strengthening documentation and administrative efficiency , which she said she aims to achieve by ‘implementing a centralised data-filing system.’
- Enhancing communication and coordination among the secretaries of IRKHSS
- Empowering secretaries’ competency through documentation workshops.
While Ruqayyah’s manifestos are as follows:
- Keeping all IRKHSS documentation well-organised and all meeting minutes effectively recorded.
- Coordinating and enhancing bureaus’ documentation to support efficient IRKHSSS operations.
- Recording students’ concerns through paperwork.
The session was followed by the dialogue for treasurer and presidential candidates, moderated by the current President of IRKHSS, Nur Qistina Ali.

The manifestos for Muhammad Fawwaz are as follows:
- Building a supportive financial system for student activities by more efficient and user-friendly financial processes.
- Enhancing student welfare awareness by collaborating with the staff.
- Providing a platform for AHAS KIRKHS students to develop their business ideas.
Meanwhile, the manifestos of Ahmad Ubaidah are as follows:
- Empowering International students participation by establishing a International Student Desk with representatives from the international student societies and a town hall to promote better engagement with international students.
- Strengthening the IRKHSS network and collaborations by creating a ‘IRKHSS link’ to improve communication and program planning across departments that lack strong alumni connections. He also highlighted the importance of external collaborations to foster relationships and secure sponsorships.
- Enhancing student welfare and support initiatives by campaigning for free food distribution, improving student facilities.
The dialogue ended with the question-and-answer session.***
