EDUFEST ’25 Brings Together IIUM Community in Three-Day Celebration of Food, Fun, and Festive Vibes

GOMBAK, 31 October 2025: The Kulliyyah of Education (KOED) concluded its three-day EDUFEST ’25 – BAZAAR CHE’GU X yesterday. This festival attracted enthusiastic crowds of students, staff, and visitors to the Edu Foyer and Parking Lot at IIUM Gombak campus.

The culture theme festival, held from 28 to 30 October, transformed the campus environment into a lively marketplace, featuring food vendors, lifestyle merchants, and accessory stalls from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily.

A flowerist offers a selection of fresh blossoms at a bazaar. This event not only beneficial for students, but also provide a platform to local entrepreneurs to connect with the IIUM community.

“This event is not without substance. It was about bringing our community together,” according to the Programme Manager, Alya Maisarah. “We wanted to create an atmosphere where students could take a break from their studies, enjoy good food, and connect with their peers.”

From cakes to pastries, Cake & Desert vendors at the bazaar offer a wide range of delicious options for hungry visitors.

There were a wide variety of local and international treats, like apam balik and wanpaku. Refreshing beverages such as Air Matcha and Kopi Kampung attracted many visitors.

Bibliopress, a local book publisher, participates in the bazaar, providing a wide selection of books to book lovers and promoting love of reading to the shoppers.

The bazaar also featured lifestyle and creative vendors such as Arta Suflet with Khat calligraphy, Royal Couture with tudung and accessories, and Bibiliopress with book selections. On top of that, Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) provided financial literacy outreach and sponsored the lucky draw for this bazaar.

A lucky draw offers 58 chances to win. Sponsored by KWSP, this initiative aims to boost community engagement and build excitement.
During the highly anticipated lucky draw, happy winners pose with their prizes at the bazaar, taking home their prizes.

One of the major highlights was the lucky draw on the final two days. Fifty eight prizes offered to visitors who spent a minimum of RM30 at the bazaar or registering for an EPF/KWSP account at the assigned booth.

The beautiful art of Silat is displayed at Edu Foyer during the bazaar. This performance combines combat, techniques, and cultural elements. The audience captivated by the demonstration.

Live performances throughout the event sparked energetic and active surrounding, aligned with the organisers’ promise to have a celebration “packed with vibes, food, and fun.”
