IWON Pagoh Excels at International Da’i Da’iyah Competition Batch II

Pagoh, 30 September 2025 – 7 until 25 September was a month filled with preparations and active participation for Juklak Juknis Da’i International Batch II, Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo, Indonesia organized by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program in conjunction with its 55th anniversary celebration. 

Last year on 11 September 2024, IWON Pagoh proudly reached the finals through the participation of Sr. Nurhafizah Mashitha Kholish, who made a strong impression at the international stage. Building on that momentum, this year IIUM Pagoh sent a larger delegation of talented students to compete in the same category, where participants may deliver their speeches in either Arabic or English. 

For the Arabic speeches, the representatives were Sr. Nurulhuda Husna binti Wan Mohd Rafi, Br. Muhammad Ameerul Zulhaqeem bin Mohd Jamali, and Sr. Durrani Afiqah binti Kamarazaman. Meanwhile, for the English speeches, the participants were Br. Muhammad Hafiz Zhafri bin Abd Kamal and Br. Abdul Haiyie bin Abdul Shukor. 

From among 23 participants worldwide, two representatives from IIUM Pagoh successfully advanced to the Top 6 Final Round, which were Sr. Nurulhuda Husna binti Wan Mohd Rafi and Sr. Durrani Afiqah binti Kamarazaman. In the final stage, the students showcased their eloquence and intellectual depth. Sr. Nurulhuda Husna binti Wan Mohd Rafi presented on the theme of Self-Love, earning her a commendable 5th place finish. On the brighter side, Sr. Durrani Afiqah binti Kamarazaman delivered a powerful speech on Palestine and the three major roles of government, youth, and media, which captivated the judges and secured her the title of Champion. 

These achievements highlight not only the dedication and excellence of IIUM Pagoh students but also the university’s strong presence in the global da’wah and public

speaking arena. IWON Pagoh continues to nurture young talents who can represent Malaysia and the ummah with confidence, knowledge, and integrity.***
