She has had sleepless nights, thinks of her children wherever they are and always wonders whether they have eaten, whether they are studying, whether they are in class and whether they are safe and healthy.

These are some of the thoughts of a mother as she prays for her children’s success in this world and in the Hereafter.

A mother is one who strives to prepare her children (with special needs or not) for life in the real world and to contribute to the community in ways that are best – to be beneficial people of society.

A mother is one who juggles between her career and caring for her children in an era when life is fast paced and full of challenges.

A mother faces the world with a brave face despite having a tough time. She puts on a smile even when times are tough.

A mother keeps the family going, motivates them and tells them things will be alright. She encourages them to see life through rose-tinted glasses as she believes there is wisdom in everything that happens.

A mother listens to her children and gives them advice when they ask for them. She realizes that she must be a good confidante so that her children turn out alright.

A mother is all this and much, much more.
