GOMBAK, 17 May 2023: The IIUM Student Union (IIUMSU) Election Commission has announced the final list of qualified candidates for the IIUMSU Election 2023 during nomination day on 5 May (Friday). Polling day will be on 25 May (Thursday).
The Chairman of the Election Commission, Nabil Haziq Bin Yazid mentioned in a statement that the Election Commission is honored to conduct the biggest annual event of the Union with transparency and accountability practised by the stakeholders of the Union.
He added that bearing the responsibility to serve the students and sacrificing your time, money and health for the students is the embodiment of a true leader.
“I wish you good luck and happy campaigning. We are the union and the union is ours. For the students by the students!” he concluded.
Here is the final list of qualified candidates and the seats they are running for:
- Presidential (Gombak) : Ahmad Alif Halimi Bin Ahmad Hamdi (AIKOL)
- International Office Seat (Gombak) : Hussein Ahmed (KICT)
- Deputy President 1 (Gombak) : Yuveraaj Pillai (AIKOL)
- Deputy President 1 (Gombak) : Ahmad Muntasir Bin Aznan (AHAS KIRKHS)
- Deputy President 2 (Kuantan) : Muhammad Adib Syahmi Bin M.Bahari (KOM)
- Deputy President 3 (Pagoh) : Muhammad Faqih Bin Mohamat Samin (KLM)
- Office of Legal Affairs (Gombak) : Muhammad Khairil Anwar Bin Mohamad (AIKOL)
- Office of Education (Gombak) : Muhammad Nadzmi Wajdi Bin Yushadi (AHAS KIRKHS)
- Office of Welfare (Gombak) : Ali Karimi Bin Mohd Nasri (KENMS)
- Office of Welfare (Pagoh) : Mohammad Harith Ierfan Bin Rahmat (KLM)
- Office of Entrepreneurship (Pagoh) : Muhammad Alim Bin Isa (KLM)
- Office of Communication, Advocacy and Promotion (Gombak) : Nur Syafiqa Aleesya Binti Pajuzi (AHAS KIRKHS)
- Assistant Secretary 3 (Pagoh) : Nur Ain Nabilah Binti Mohd Roselee (KLM)
