Oscar Winner, Michelle Yeoh said, “Dreams do come true”

LOS ANGELES, 19 March 2023: At the 95th Academy Awards Ceremony that ended on Monday, Michelle Yeoh won the Best Actress for her outstanding performance in the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Michelle, who is from Malaysia will be remembered in Oscar history as the first Asian woman and Malaysian woman to win the award.

“Ladies, don’t let anyone ever tell you, you are past your prime. Never give up!” She encouraged women to pursue their dreams in her acceptance speech.

She attributed her great achievement of winning the award to the efforts of the entire team of Everything Everywhere All at Once.

She dedicated the trophy to her mom, “I’m taking this home to her, she’s watching right now in Malaysia, KL, with my family and friends. I love you guys!”

In an interview after the awards ceremony, she said “I hope that I’m not the last. This is just the beginning”, when asked how she felt about being the first Asian actress to win the Oscar for Best Actress.

The movie Everything Everywhere All at Once also won the Best Picture Award, Best Director Award, Best Original Screenplay and many other awards in one fell swoop.

Since the movie has an LGBTQ theme, we applaud it for its awards, but we do not accept homosexuality in Islam.***
