GOMBAK, 8 December 2022: All is well that ends well for Norrul Aisyah Binti Tuan Ibrahim, daughter of the former Minister of Environment and Water, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, who graduated from the AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS) at the fourth session of the 38th IIUM Convocation Ceremony in spite of facing COVID-19 difficulties during her studies.

In an exclusive interview with IIUMToday, she mentioned that she faced troubles adapting with the COVID-19 situation as she and her fellow classmates were not prepared to participate in online classes at the beginning.

Although she had a hard time understanding what she learned, her friend and her family had been part of her support system throughout her studies.

“My mother used the best comforting words. Every time I was struggling with something I would tell her, and she would make the best decision and give me comforting words,” she said.

“My friends in IIUM had also helped me a lot in my studies, they helped me understand what I was studying and supported me. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she added.

When asked about the lesson she learned from IIUM, she realised that her path was not the same as everyone else as each follows a different path. She believed that everyone should choose a meaningful path for him or herself.

“University life taught me to love who I am more and give importance to the areas that make me happy. And the best part of this is following my passion and being who I want to be,” she concluded.

Norrul Aisyah is currently taking the Diploma Pendidikan Pasca Siswazah programme. She shared that her plan to be a teacher inspired by her previous teachers and lecturers.***
