AHAS KIRKHS celebrates students’ success in 38th IIUM convocation award ceremony

GOMBAK, 8 December 2022: In honor of the excellent graduates from AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS KIRKHS), the 38th IIUM Convocation Award Ceremony was held at the Banquet Hall, Muhammad Abdul-Rauf Building on Monday (5 December).

The event was held in conjunction with the 38th IIUM Convocation with awards presented by the Deputy Rector of Student Development & Community Engagement, Professor Dr. Akmal Khuzairy Bin Abd. Rahman.

The three main awards of the Kulliyyah, namely Best Overall Student, Best Student (Academic) and Best Student (Co-Curricular), went to Ainun Nadzirah Binti Abdul Rahim, Amirah Syuhada Binti Shahruddin, Batrisha Binti Norhamizi, respectively.

Meanwhile, 11 graduates received the Best Student Award from their respective departments.

The Dean of AHAS KIRKHS, Professor Dr. Shukran Bin Abd Rahman acknowledged the excellent students and their parents who were the backbones of their successful children. 

“To all graduates who are receiving awards, I would like to congratulate you all. Our heroes for today are our parents, so congratulations to parents, especially parents who have children receiving awards.”

Professor Dr. Shukran also urged all graduates to remember the mission of IIUM, which is to nurture students to become agents of change, improve, and develop the society.

Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Akmal Khuzairy, in his speech added that all graduates would soon be leaders of various institutions such as country companies, corporations, and organizations.

“We hope all of you keep it in your heart, this was the place where you learned, changed your attitudes, and characters, and transformed yourselves.”

The Kulliyyah-level prize recipients received certificates of honour and AHAS KIRKHS Best Student trophies.
