GOMBAK, 7 December 2022: The President of IIUM, Tan Sri Shamsuddin Osman, believed that the graduates at the sixth session of IIUMs 38th Convocation from the Kulliyyah of Economic and Management Sciences (KENMS) were privileged with expensive knowledge and considered as game changes for the world.

“Expensive knowledge is what makes IIUM unique as to be game changes for the world to cater to sustainable development goals and to meet the numerous challenges,” he noted.

The President emphasised the challenges graduates faced and will face in recovering their lost identities after the long influences of western colonization. œAs a graduate from KENMS, you should master the important roles and responsibilities you need to play, especially when the state of the economy is in critical condition, he stressed.

He believed that all graduates are ready to take the lead to offer the solution to various economic-related issues like unemployment and social disparity that continue to make headlines.

The IIUM President further explained that to be graduates of the southeast university, they have played a significant part and must have the ability to change not only the Islamic community but also the entire world.

He added that with comprehensive education from IIUM,  the graduates are unique and more suited to guide the ummah and humanity in the right direction. For him, graduates’ achievements will serve to boost the spirit of both IIUM and the surrounding community.

œThe world’s future is waiting and depending on young people who are both thankful and wise to guide them toward a prosperous and equitable society, the IIUM President conveyed the message before ending his speech.***
