KAJANG, 24 November 2022: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced next Monday, 28 November 2022, as the public holiday nationwide in his first press conference as the Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister.
“The Malaysian Ringgit has strengthened, so has Bursa Malaysia. With this I want to announce that tomorrow will not be a public holiday, but a public holiday will be replaced this following Monday.”
“I have told the chief secretary to the Government and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Let us now focus on the economy and do whatever it takes to revive it so that the welfare of the people, particularly the marginalised, will be protected,” he added.
Anwar also said he will start his duties as the Prime Minister tomorrow (25 November) morning.***
